At the Hometown Group, we believe in local ownership and management for each of our locations. Our customers have direct access to the owner and benefit directly by receiving quick decisions and superior service. It’s this business model that differentiates us from our competition – we call it “The Hometown Difference.”

This unique installment loan experience was first established more than 23 years ago when John Stevenson opened Bluegrass Finance, in Hopkinsville, KY. John’s success quickly translated into the opening of more locations: Hometown Finance (Jerry Pyle), Laurel Financial (Jeannie Bowling), Peoples Choice Finance (Jeannie Dawson), Bowling Green Finance (John McIntyre) and  1st Choice Credit (Patrick Oliver). 

The entire Hometown Group is dedicated to meeting the financial needs of our Kentucky customers through convenient traditional installment loans and by our involvement and commitment to the communities we serve. It is our hope to continue spreading “the Hometown Difference” throughout Kentucky as we open additional, locally owned and managed, locations.
